  Having heard so much about this film beforhand I was kind of worried that it wouldn't live up to my expectations. Luckily I think it was definitely worth the hype!

  Set design, costume, editing, steampunk aesthetic, use of fisheye were all A* mwah mwah imho

  Would've been 5 stars except I felt the ending was a little tacked on - to introduce an antagonist so close to the end and resolve that so quickly felt a little flat in comparison…

  Tldr: a film about lesbians for straight people ig

  God I found this film so vapid. Features lots of lazy narration through constant injections of 80s news clips, undeveloped characters whose only personality traits seemed to be lesbianism, and really weird stunted dialogue that is straight up awkward to watch. Seemed confused in its own message, and was basically just 90 mins of, "wasn't it bad to be gay in the 80s?" Nothing beyond that really which is a shame because I think a lot more could've been done with the premise!
