I loved all of the tactile details and the performances were wonderful.
Everything felt intimate and understated yet grand giving the viewer the feeling of being a child peaking into an unknown world of adulthood with its importance and mystery.
The story was about so many things apparent and hidden. I think it will return to my mind often.

Probably like many other people, I am disappointed that Sellers didn’t get an Oscar for this roll. I don’t know how a character so “stuffed with rice pudding between the ears” could keep me on the edge of my seat but it was bewildering in the best way and the ending was beautiful.
It’s a film that makes you slow down and think about how we look at each other.
