Growing up in Malaysia, not being able to drive was a static sentence. Towns, districts, suburbs, and cities were primarily linked only by highways. Public transport was infrequent and unreliable at best, and non-existent at worst, which was often the norm. So for many and myself included, we’d spend most of our lives on journeys in cars.
