Spooky little atmosphere. Felt like 90s midwestern gothic core?? FreakbobCagePants?? I enjoyed it! The hype around the film and what I was prepared to experience versus what the film actually was left me feeling disjointed. I would not say that this film is disturbing or big on the scare factor, but more so gives you a steady-paced mild-moderate serving of anxiousness throughout it, which works great here. There were some creative and successful plot points that I really enjoyed. I can’t pinpoint it right now but the last 30 minutes left me feeling uncertain for some reason.

This one has an interesting take on the slasher film sort of genre as you experience most of it with the “antagonist” and mostly see the film from over his shoulder
The plot is pretty straightforward and enjoyable (for what you’d expect), while a lot of the shots are done in (what I would call) a pretty refreshing style - I would’ve been content with just this.
