Nope 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Having monsters in the sky brought me back to watching War of the Worlds as a kid and there’s a real need for these films back on the big screen.
Felt the comedy was a little flat, the occasional “nope” did make me laugh tho. Thought the whole set piece with the monkey and the television series set felt playful and definitely will hook any viewer.
Brandon Perea’s character stank…..
Giving it a 3.5/5 from first viewing. Definitely a real fun film to watch every now and again, nothing hugely wrong with it.

The Northman 2022
The camera work made it feel like a long Ubisoft cutscene, Assassins Creed Valhalla?
There was some brilliant camera work at play, but it took me out of the action in moments and I certainly returned to my prior reference point a lot.
The brutality itself was a part of its brilliance and I think I was in need of a really physical film and it definitely serves this on many levels!
Definitely in need of a second watch though…
