Saw Mickey 17. 6/11
Robert Pattinson delivers an incredible comedic performance in one of the best set ups and worst blunders of a script I've ever seen.
The first half of the movie is a black comedy of errors set in a sci-fi world. The second half is the ending to every 2000s Disney movie, beat for beat Air Bud. With worse monologues.
The women are terribly written. Toni Collette manages to make it funny and interesting. Naomi Ackle's Nasha…
This film answers the question: "What if you could out-fuck Dracula?"
Great performances by Lily-Rose Depp, Hoult, Dafoe, and Skarsgard. Felt like some of the others got swallowed up by the language.
The castle cinematography was both exciting and an homage to early cinema. The city felt like a toy set. Every woodland shot was gorgeous.
One of the weaker, less focused entries in the Miyazaki catalogue.
Still very pretty & interesting. Should've cooked a little longer.
