"You know, the worst ain't so bad when it finally happens..."
Maybe some of the best of Old Hollywood. A thrilling story with great performances that keep the viewer captivated. The directing and cinematography are also phenomenal. It shows the effects of greed and wealth on men. It's a western in the way There Will Be Blood is a western, a transformative use of the genre and setting.

Filming this all in one take to emphasize the stress and exhaustion the characters are feeling really makes you feel like you're in this restaurant. The strength of this movie comes from the characters and the way it's shot really just lets you take in the drama of the environment.
I do not miss working in food service, and I never really worked in an actual restaurant. It brings you back there, and the frustration you feel working these jobs. It's very real in that aspect and works towards the audience's investment. You have been one of these characters.
