i did not think sitting and watching a father and daughter on vacation for an hour and a half would be as engaging or as powerful as this. it was truly wonderful and heavily nostalgic- for a time and place with which i do not resonate, which is impressive. i like that we see a father-daughter dynamic which focuses on only them and their relationship. what a beautifully miserable thing.
