  Film class - loved it, the kids didn’t get it lol

  I noticed the accent thing being a tool for the viewer to recognize evil/Satanic figures (British accent) and Brooklyn accent of Judas creating familiarity, meanwhile my classmates said it “took them out of the movie” which is a phrase I hate and doesn’t make any sense, especially when you consider Scorsese’s deliberate choice to make the viewer aware they are watching a film, not get sucked into the story. 

  Then I read a reading that was assigned, and Scorsese explained the accent thing almost word for word. This is my form of a brag.
