“Filmmaking is a chance to live so many lifetimes. ”
Top four are my current faves of the year
An Insanely sharp thriller.
A homage to the golden age of thrillers in the 1970’s, Soderberg manages to blend great characters, writing and one of the best ensemble casts that I have seen a while, to make a stylish and satisfying spy thriller that may just be one of the best of its genre in recent years.
Will die on the hill that this is a good film. Thematically matching the lost boys, Christine and many other classics of the 80’s, this offers a fresh take on the franchise that teases a world beyond the ending of its central story.
The argument that they killed Michael ‘easily, just in one fight with Laurie’ is wrong. It took 4 canon films, an onslaught at the end of Halloween Kills and the death of Laurie’s fear/ desire to run from Michael to stop him.
Sorry not sorry
