Really fantastic movie. Says a lot throughout the film but I think I wanted to review this movie because I wanted to quickly go over the films message and acknowledge how a certain group of chronically online people have misconstrued it:
Travis Bickle is not a hero. I feel like captain obvious saying this but I’ve seen too many people online who seem to idolize him for one reason or another and it really bothers me
My generation is experiencing…
Cool ass movie. No other way to put it.
I think when I first watched this movie was riiiiggghht around the time when superhero fatigue really hit for me. But holy shit does this movie really go beyond that.
I think wolverine has been one of my favourite heroes ever since I was a kid (mostly because he was Canadian and also had cool claws) and I really think this was the perfect way to put a lid on his story and leave it. But we live in an imperfect world…
They better not ruin wolverine
I’m not a huge action film guy. Probably surprising to those who know me, but I usually just stick to a few favourites. This is one of those favourites.
Absolutely over the top crazy action, with a huge portion of the action being extremely well done practical effects with special effects that have just as much care put into it.
The character and set designs are just amazing, and there are so many small bits of detail that add so…
Ok
I think I liked this movie? I really liked the aesthetic and atmosphere of the film but everything else about this movie just absolutely flew over my head. Maybe I’m not the most astute film critic but after watching this movie I had to go watch analysis videos about what the hell the movie was trying to do and I’m still confused. The two leads are both fantastic actors though and Robert Pattinson is just the coolest hottest dude acting right now and I understand why Dafoe got all touchy and kissy with him
