  Weird kids Sci-fi (until it isn't) with tropes galore, but if you can ignore the gaping plot holes, the protagonists are engaging enough. Couple of things I couldn't get my head round
  - Why do we have really advanced technology, but need a steampunk guy literally pumping the engine
  - Didn't understand what the main guy was trying to get, was his daughter still alive, was she in a pod, was he trying to just get her body back??? resolved…

  Jeez, there seems to be a lot of hate for this movie from those on Letterboxd. I had no expectations going in, and I found it a pretty solid low budget post-apocalyptic film.
  I think maybe my good will towards this film is helped by the journey to the other colony. It was like stepping into a Fallout 3 movie, and i'd bloody love a Fallout movie.

  The Forgotten 2004

  Really weird film, but my underlying memory is the 'WHAT' that came from my wife (who thought she was watching a movie about a woman coming to terms with the loss of a child, or maybe a movie about an elaborate abduction) who suddenly realised I'd hoodwinked her into watching a sci-fi film when people start getting sucked into the sky. Funny, very very funny,,,!!
