Gladiator II 2024
out the gate really surprised and impressed with Joseph Quinn as Emperor Geta.
Unfortunately I have a few criticisms towards the movie. I did enjoy the movie but comparing it to “Gladiator” its a tough battle.
I enjoyed the overall visuals of this movie but the script was lack lustre to me.
Making Paul Mescals character of Lucius Aurelius a descendant of Russel Crowe’s Maximus and forcing the story line to continue I think hindered the movie. It was just recycled. …Translated from by -

Great to have a movie let you lead yourself to the wrong conclusion…
And in the best way possible- not what I expected.The male cast is really introduced in ways that misdirect you, it’s only once you see them interact with others and show the audience their actions you can see their true characters.

Jacobi Jupe as Michael Darling is so cute and
Jude Law is good.
Similarly seen in Pete’s Dragon, director David Lowery
has a keen eye for beautiful visuals and giving a live action films setting that magical ethereal look- whilst still being ‘real’.
This sums up what I enjoyed about the movie- the visuals.
