Solidly enjoyable, but there’s a better movie hiding in Mickey17. There were many competing genres — alien war sci-fi, political commentary, romance, philosophical “Who Am I?”. But the movie’s action wasn’t that exciting, the aliens weren’t unique or interesting, the romance was unconvincing, and the political commentary felt like an SNL Trump sketch.
