At first glance, it was easy to dismiss Heretic as I initially did by seeing it as a slightly new formula applied to a classic genre. The movie came off as preachy and the ending twist left me put off on blueberry pie.

Despite defying one or two expectations, I found more relief than joy at the conclusion of Venom: The Last Dance.
