this movie has been made to be more complicated than it is. it’s annoying to me in the way a hannah montana episode is where like…boo u didnt have to do tht. like he rly didnt HAVE to sneak into some woman’s apartment bc he found an ear somewhere like. mind ur business??? rnt u back in town bc ur dad’s sick??? and somehow u have enough time to date two women, one of them being a high school girl and the other, a woman who is being abused by a man named frank. they nvr came back to the dad being sick. idk man.

the best part of this movie is mikey madison. was a lot overhyped. i liked the beginning, hated the middle, rly liked the end. the last sex scene was super hot to me but like other sean baker movies, and euphoria, it was just a lot of “fuck” and a lot of fucking. i just think there were more creative ways he couldve achieved his points. this was also a story that’s been told and was not bringing anything new…

im obsessed with this movie. its romantic in tht its naively and ridiculously beautiful. its over the top while also being simple and frank. the adultery is prominent, the love is shallow and fleeting and the accents are overdone. it is a movie that lacks depth in a refreshing way. it makes not loving the man ur spending ur life w a cheeky joke and the loss of a limv a kitschy personality trait. j’adore.
