A really, really bad made movie with mediocre acting and a disastrous script. Still, it was so bad that it was kinda good. The love story had depth and wasn’t rushed, making the characters have a genuine connection. I wouldn’t recommend this movie but definitely do not regret I watched it. It just a fun watch that shouldn’t be taken deeply at all.

I really enjoyed the ending of this meaning, everything truly tied together at the end, giving meaning to the mysterious character of Donnie Darko. He sacrificed himself for the girl he liked and his mom, but the pacing itself was not the best. The movie looked really old, despite being from 2001. Still, I loved this movie and will watch the director’s cut in the near future.

One of the best shot films of all time, cinematography was off the charts. The meaning of the movie was completely ambiguous and up to interpretation but the underlying themes of the 70s were eerie. This movie is definitely not for everyone, but its analysis on the psyche of lonely men is something that everyone should be able to atleast appreciate.

Amazing film, amazing characters, great pacing and cinematography. De Niro and Pesci were genuinely phenomenal. Some of the best acting I’ve seen in a while. They both played their parts perfectly. This movie had numerous twists, where I had no idea what direction they were going to take it at any second. Ace’s wife was insufferable but also necessary to add to the plot. Great film, sad we don’t see many like this anymore!
