Started off with promise. The two extras that interacted with Anna Kendrick on the movie set were probably the best part about the movie. I think this movie could have been a lot better if they made this a one plot line movie. Just felt all over the place and they sacrificed character development for a lot going on.
Hey also if your gonna have a serial killer man - at least make him hot and desirable. Nobody ever would have gotten in a car with the Taylor Laurene straight out of twilight look a like.
For a horny movie it wasn’t really horny
Honestly felt like the guy who was supposed to be telling Nicole Kidman what to do was too much of a pussy
Also couldn’t stop looking at how much of an alien Nicole Kidman looked like the whole movie - she looks WEIRD
Also whose cheating on that husband for some string bean white boy
Good movie that kept me engaged the whole time. Would argue maybe 20-30 minutes too long. Loved that the movie was giving me insight to a time period in history and teaching me about typical “boring topics” with an interesting plot, great acting, and some sprinkled in humor.
The different plot lines led to some lack of developing characters or just character relationships in general. It also felt like there were random extraneous details given about characters in an attempt to develop them that really had nothing to do with the plot.
Great performances from Steve Carrell and Timothee Chalamet. Easily the best acting I’ve seen from Chalamet. The movie really pulled on the heart strings with the realistic POV of a family dealing with addiction - made me genuinely feel personally invested in the success of his recovery and also made me cry like a baby.
