the guy who makes hdoom
I catalogue (and maybe eventually review) all the horror movies i've seen here
a mocumentary about a serial killer who crawls around and screams at women in his basement, intercut with commentary by a bunch of crime investigator guys glazing him with the 'ohhh he's so evil and clever and he's always one step ahead of us' to such an eyerolling extent that it breaks suspension of disbelief.
you can't even nap during this movie because the 'video cut' sound is like 200db. disappointing.
this movie just didn't hit for me, at least on a first viewing. I understand it was jumping around in time, but it almost felt like it was intended to be more of a slow burn movie that got edited around to show more of the scares throughout the running time. I kept getting this feeling it was blowing its load too early rather than gradually escalating towards a shocking conclusion.
cool story and ideas, feels a little bit like it was sabotaged by its own story structure decisions/editing.
