Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is one of my favorite movie characters ever, so I'm so happy to see where she ended up in 2019. Also, I'm all for seeing women in their 60s in lead roles, especially in action movies (so rare), AND women collaborating tactically towards a shared goal (also rare). That's the best thing about this movie, and the rest is pretty MEH.

I think if I would've seen this movie when it came out I wouldn't have appreciated how special it was. I was barely an adult and coming out of the "hey it's all good, it's the 90's we don't have to pay that close attention to identity politics" Clinton era. Looking back on it now, it is DRIPPING with 90's MTV, but it is also kinda amazing that has an all-Asian American cast going against Asian American stereotypes.
