  got to show my girlfriend one of my all-time favorite movies, and it really hammered in everything i love about it. an homage to all the best kung-fu movies with a deserved revenge plot that still manages to be fun despite the darkness of it. uma thurman you are my EVERYTHAAAANG

  an atrocious watch, but lucky for them lee harker was just autistic enough to keep me watching

  fr though, what a disappointment. all show, no substance. tried to do too many things at once and ended up fizzling out into an overused satanism plot, which is barely good even if you manage to do it right. the script couldn’t decide whether to be artistic or relatable, and sat awkwardly between. what 8-year-old compares growing up to veal? be serious.

  the marketing department had rent due, and by god they probably paid it tenfold. definitely not the horror film of the year, though. what a shame.
