I LOOOOOVED this film. It could so easily have been so boring, but I was sooo invested. Every scene had such quiet intensity. The bizarre liminal shots of the fully adorned cardinals on the bus, brushing their teeth, and smoking in the corridors. I felt so immersed in the world, and captivated by the characters.
I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I watched.

Visually stunning. Think I was thrown off because a lot about this film reminded me of ‘my summer of love’, but without the familiarity for a shared frame of reference. I struggled to connect to the story but when I tried to see it for its composition, I got a lot more out of that.
