Really didn’t tickle my fancy. It seemed like every interesting character or every character I was interested in was killed off for no reason. Or, the reason being to mess up the plans of characters in ways that were…dumb? Not to mention their kills/deaths weren’t very creative in my opinion, especially Colonel Packard’s death. The only part I can say I thoroughly enjoyed was the Kong vs big Skull crawler scene. Having loved Godzilla 2014 and King of the Monsters,…
This was a great movie. I loved being able to see the parallels and inspiration from Bram Stoker’s Dracula throughout the movie, as well as separate interpretation and ideas. The only thing that I couldn’t get past was the lack of German accents for German characters. I’d have excused Depp’s character if she’d had a French accent and had just moved to Germany, but no one (save for some slips from Dafoe) had a German accent.
Any person would love a movie about killing N@zis, unless of course they’re horrible people. This was a pretty good movie, but it did let me down as I didn’t get as much as I wanted. I watched it with the expectation that it would be about the basterds, but it was more about an entire operation. I also wish it was historical, because I would LOVE to learn about real Jews who killed N@zis
Alright movie, but the focus on planning and battle formations, seeking out the enemy, seems to be more formatted for a documentary rather than a movie. The usage of historical footage from the battle is very cool. I’ve heard this movies praise from many, but it just isn’t my kind of war film. It is well made, and has a good format, just seems more fit for a documentary. I appreciate the movie, I just didn’t enjoy it much.
