After I watched Lake Mungo I had to sit by myself for a bit and process it all. I don't think I've seen any other piece of art come so close to how I have dealt with grief and terror. Definitely not for most people but visually one of the most beautiful films ever. If you are the kind of person who can enjoy a film for the visuals alone or are just interested in the history of cinematography you should try this. A very beautiful and earnest attempt at capturing the life, work, and world of an Armenian national hero. Poetry in film.
