Blue Velvet 1986
I had the pleasure of watching this film fully restored at a sold out show.
I almost forgot how mesmerizing this movie was, seeing it on the big screen cemented the fact that this is probably my favorite Lynch film. The performances were fantastic, and brutal- haunting in all the ways that tick me for this noir-erotic story. I will celebrate this film for as long as I live

The most fun I’ve had in ages, seriously. Everyone involved should be proud of the film they’ve made, I genuinely think this franchise has gotten better with every entry. First off, the way people spoke about this film piqued my interest. I was surprised to find that I genuinely enjoyed this film, but it definitely isn’t perfect. I think the leads were great, but some of the acting was brought down with the writing. I understood what the movie was trying to do with its overall theme but the dialogue needed some work, it just didn’t seem genuine.
