  Now tbh this is the first Stanley Kubrick film I’ve ever watched and if this is one of his lesser works I have to watch his masterpieces. The entire first half of the film is tense and somehow was able to keep my attention even with my Tik tok ruined attention span. There a bunch of conspiracy theories around this film and it’s wider context that add an extra depth.

  It’s funny to think that this was all basically a warm up for Tom Cruise’s introduction into the church of Scientology.

  The basis of this film is very good but the execution couldn’t be worse. Shitty one liners, massive plot holes like ooooo his dad is someone important oh wait we don’t get told anything else about him? Fuck off. Cillian Murphy’s worst performance (but tbf he had fuck all to work with) and the ending is so utterly wank.
