Anatomy of a Fall 2023
More courtroom drama than murder investigation. Courtroom drama had a lot of weird discrepancies but maybe that’s because I don’t know how the French court system works. Felt very ambivalent about the end. Liked that it didn’t tell us what happened for real.

Saltburn 2023
Great lighting and acting. Generally a good story but it’s still another movie that falls flat compared to Parasite in the whole “class debate” thriller. Others of its kind include Triangle of Sadness and The Menu but this one is still miles ahead both of them. Wished that it was more open ended and wasn’t buttoned up. Not all loose threads need to be cut off. Would’ve been a better movie if it just ended at the grave scene.
