  Not remotely “scary” nor thrilling. Hereditary is a slow-burner—in other words, horribly paced—horror that employs a compilation of cliches to build to a disappointing climax. With all the generic camera shots, bland and convoluted story, and uninspired script, Ari Aster proves yet again how much of an amateur film maker he is.

By succumbing to your desires and living your “authentic” life, you too can escape the shackles of society’s norms and become an ambition-less degenerate.

  A large budget and loud Hans Zimmer noises must mean this movie is great—right? Wrong. Dune has an egregiously paced, underwhelming plot that drags for 155 minutes. Go watch National Geographic if you want dopamine from pretty still shots.
