2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
I wonder if this film is robotic to serve the nature of its surroundings or if it’s accidental. This is where the film soars and plummets for me. It’s haunting how emotionless it is. Its visuals are stunning. It’s very apt of its period. Very psychedelic otherworldly colour exposed images. It is an inspiring film for any cinematographer. You can tell that this film influenced lots of contemporary work.
It started to get good 1hr 45 mins in.

Comparing it to the stage show is natural. They out shone each other in different ways. Cynthia was brilliant. Ariana was ok. Botox as an actor is the most awful thing you could do. Defying gravity scene wasn’t as powerful as the stage show. Jonathan Bailey I’ve never seen someone make Fieryo that hot
