Seeking good horrors!
I follow back. ✌️
Its three hour runtime is almost justified by breathtaking bomb test sequence alone. The rest is a lumpy experience: moments of brilliance mixed in with a sprinkling of some dodgy dialogue and (common complaint with the films of 23/24) a flabby final hour begging for a harsh editor’s eye.
I’m not sure what we’re supposed to make of the titular character. Maybe that’s the point. But the whole endeavour leaves me thinking…is this the best way to tell this story? Try Grave of Fireflies instead.
Sumptuous cinematography. Brilliant acting. Hilarious moments. Too long, like all films today.
