The Menu 2022
An interesting take on the strict and often brutal environment within the catering industry. The glamourised, celebrity world of modern dining is captured brilliantly and finds a balance between seriousness and comedy. There is a slight lack of character development, probably due to the overshadowing message that the film desperately wants its audience to grasp, however the chaotic, yet logical plot and movement to the film allows it some forgiveness.

Speak No Evil 2022
The slow pacing, tension-filled dialogue and 'on-edge' character interactions makes this one of the best films I've seen in a while. I enjoyed the exploration and subsequent manipulation of 'polite society' which is overbearingly present in lots of European cultures. The acting was also superb.

Confession of Murder 2012
Whilst the majority of serial killer/psychopathic murderer films are often far fetched and unrealistic, Confession of Murder takes this point to the extreme. With humanly impossible stunts to laughable and almost painfully cliche 'escape' scenes, this film ticks all the right boxes for a high budget, low quality, underdeveloped, mediocre action film. However, in Confession of Murder's defense, I'd like to thank whoever decided to cast exclusively good looking actors. At the very least my eyes had some form of distratcion away from the dreadful cut sences and CGI.

Midsommar 2019
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
[SPOILERS]
Whilst the hype surrounding Midsommar was arguably one of the main reasons I decided to watch, I can honestly say that I was pleasantly suprised and enjoyed its unique and twisted take on the horror genre. Not only was its main character, Dani, relatable and likeable, but her character's development was well written and corresponded well with her progression throughout the story. I even found myself feeling a sense of admiration for her as she stood and watched the building, containing her (ex) boyfriend, violently burn.
