Anora 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Very hyped up movie so I had to watch. I feel like it was 3 diff movies in one. Heavy sexual party energy, comedy sequence of finding vanya, sense of reality end. Dragged a bit for me as some of the jokes with the cursing got pretty repetitive but it was an entertaining watch. Sad ending as the realization of going back to being a sex worker destroyed her. I’m a little shocked at the amount of awards this movie earned.

The Substance 2024
A classic lesson of loving yourself and who you are. Towards the end it becomes a Carrie scene but the beginning to middle I wouldn’t quite label as horror.

The Monkey 2025
Comedy horror. Went into it not knowing that it was a comedy. The audience laughed a lot from beginning to end. It has good comedic timing, but I wouldn’t necessarily go for horror if that’s your thing. Reminds me of goosebumps movies back in the day. More family friendly vibes. Not too much development for the characters and it leaves alot of unanswered questions, but I mean everyone dies. A lot of over the top killing scenes. Overall it was a fun watch but a far cry from long legs.
