Most of the time the movies I remember the less after seeing them are the movies I loved the most. Not because I was less interested in them but because some movies are so absorbing I live through them in a vicarious way.

Anora made me laugh so much which was a surprise. I did my best not to know anything about the plot and I didn’t even check the trailer. What a movie ! It was all I hoped…

This coming-of-age film had no right to open my 14 year old boy wounds like that.

I was in highschool. The year was 2005 and I used to hang out with this girl who lived right next door. We started seeing each other and drinking and smoking together. We had fun, we would drink before class and hang out with our friends. At first, I didn’t know she had a boyfriend but that didn’t really keep us from being what…

Arrow Video did an amazing job restoring this movie in 4k. I adore alien invasion movies so this was right up my alley. Also really surprised I had never seen this movie before. I’ll probably enjoy the special features very much.

Joy of Sex is a raunchy teen sex comedy from 1984 that was finally restored in 4k by Cinématographe, an amazing sub-label from Vinegar Syndrome. They really did an amazing job here: the movie looks and sounds great. As with most teen comedies from the 80s, most jokes wouldn’t pass today’s standards, but it’s actually a really funny movie with pretty popular actors and actresses like Christopher Lloyd and Michelle Meyrink. It’s a fun time and I’m always happy to see a lesser-known 80s comedy restored.

The first fifteen minutes or so did not prepare me for how much I would love the quietness of this movie. Watching this film felt like holding a mirror in front of me..my twenties weren’t easy.

The Outrun is a beautiful and hypnotizing slow burn movie. The scenery is breathtaking and the score is perfectly balanced. Saoirse Ronan is incredible as always, her character is so complex and it never crossed my mind she was playing a role. The emotional…

World Premiere - Fantasia Festival 2024

Based on true and horrific ongoing events in Guatemala and in the world.

Beautifully shot. This movie is magic realism at its best with new and amazing young talents. A heart-wretching movie that will haunt me for a long time.
