Genuinely good set pieces and action, but also a bit cheesy at points, and passes Bechdel test by the slimmest of margins. Automatic loss of half a star for any film that literally includes footage from a prequel, totally unneeded.

The Personal History of David Copperfield 2019
Despite being a big fan of all involved, this really didn't click for me. I think it's something about the combination of being overly sincere, it's "zaniness", and lack of humour. Perhaps I would have gotten more from it if I was intimately familiar with the source material but that shouldn't have to be a requirement...
