    It was going to be hard to follow up Fury Road but I think they did a good job building on top of it in terms of story telling, action and scale. To me, Mad Max films are all about crazy car engineering and post-apolalyptic personalities and this title delivered.

    This was a fun movie but it was difficult to get into at first. I found the first 30 - 45 minutes to be a slog, they spend a lot of time setting up the romance for the movie but the obstacle is a bargain bin lack of communication.

    I find movies about movies tend to be overly self-indulgent and there was a bunch of meta writing / references that fell flat.

    The movie doesn't have a lot to say but it's very fun. Lots of stylistic flourishes and interesting cinematography, reminds me of Guy Ritchie films.

    My movie snob take for this one would be the cast does a good job for the most part but I could have gone for some lower profile people, it feels like certain characters were built around actors rather than the other way around.
