Watched this in honor of the files getting "released" and holy shit; what a wild ride. Reminds me a lot of Oppenheimer in how stacked the cast is and how insane the editing is. It's like a weird combination of a David Fincher mystery thriller, Eyes Wide Shut, and To Kill a Mockingbird, in that order. Sometimes it feels pretty believable (especially since Garrison was a real guy), sometimes it feels pure scizio, and I'm scared if I watch it again I'LL become the scizio. That being said, a complete masterpiece.

Eastern Promises 2007
Quite a somber movie with a great cast and thematic stuff. It's not a body horror movie like Cronenberg's usual fare but it's a movie about bodies and the horrors they're put through by people like the vor; not too similar from the thematic stuff in Anora, albeit much darker. Wish it was a bit more thrilling but to some extent that's not the point. Also lol russian mafia tattoos are so badass.

Sexiest movie of the decade??? Three oscar worthy performances and a soundtrack that literally had me lightly fist pumping in the theater. Only issue was the sound mixing really made me want to have subtitles but other than that?? Holy fuck lmfao also dude the crazy directing choices in the last 30 minutes??? This is like the most French movie set in America despite no french people involved. Luca G and the Potion Seller Past Lives Husband really know their shit.
