An older and a younger man sit in a greenhouse as the younger man pragmatically steps through all the ways the school girls might have disappeared in the harsh Australian bush, concluding that they must be found and that 'there has to be a solution.' The other man wordlessly shows him a plant that writhes when touched and the scene ends. Characters in this film try and fail to comprehend the power and mystery of nature. The film shows us that we will never comprehend nature, and so the nature of the girls' disappearance is unknowable.
