Wow, this film was an absolute wild ride. There were moments when I found myself thinking, “Wait, what?” It’s such a bizarre concept, but I really appreciate its originality. The violence is off-the-charts insane, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a film with ideas this fucked up!
I’m honestly shocked that some people consider this one of the best horror films. What? All the characters were unlikable, Nosferatu looked like a withered grape, and it felt more like a play than an actual film! If you’re into a lot of moaning and groaning over the grape, then by all means, give it a watch.
That said, I’ll give credit where it’s due—the costumes were beautiful, the atmosphere was eerie, and yes, it’s a star-studded cast. But for…
I was skeptical going in, as this has to be the 1,000th take on ‘Alien.’ However, I was so pleasantly surprised in the best way possible. The casting was excellent—no A-listers, thank goodness! It’s a fun film with plenty of twists, though not much gore (at least for my taste). I’m so glad they did this film justice.
If “The Thing” and “Frankenhooker” had a baby… Absolutely brilliant! Such a fun film with a simple idea and a corny cast to fill it perfectly. A film that you won’t know what happens next. Filled with genuinely funny moments and oddly suspenseful at others. Oh yeah, this film is king of the cheese, and I’m here for it.
