I remember watching this for the first time after I got familiar with Gregg Araki's The Doom Generation.
I love the score and the colors, the ways the film explored challenging themes in a haunting and enticing way. It doesn't steer far from reality or real-life issues or experiences.
I love Araki and the new queer film genre.

I picked this film randomly on Criterion Channel and I very much enjoyed it. From the original music by RZA to the layering scenes and shots of Whitaker as Ghost Dog, Jarmusch does a great job of character building and voice-over narration in specific scenes. I especially loved the aerial shots of the city that happened at the beginning of the film, whenever Whitaker was in the car driving and it's quiet. I felt like I was in that car…
