These movies are honestly starting to all blur together. Gohan’s chilling doing something at the beginning, villain shows up, Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo get their asses kicked by some random grunts, Goku shows up, gets his ass kicked, powers up, big flashy explosion at the end, and the villain’s dead and the world, despite being pretty messed up, somehow goes back to normal without the Dragon Balls. Also in this one Goku goes fake Super Saiyan for no reason and it doesn’t really do much for him.

Ever since I watched this movie on Saturday, it’s constantly been on my mind and I just can’t stop thinking about the things that bothered me. It was especially exacerbated after rewatching The Last Crusade yesterday. I just keep thinking about the cinematography and action scenes and how it all felt distinctly like a modern action movie and felt almost too… perfect.
