  I looked in a mirror this morning and wondered whose face was really looking back.
  Face/Off is high concept without the high concepts. And if Mr. Woo hadn’t used so much slo mo, this movie would be a bit shorter. Thank you James Woo for extending the best moments. Truly a must see.

  The Straight Story 1999

  The Straight Story is a beautiful movie. Put it on in front of someone. Watch them cry. Let them feel it. It’s subtle, but touching. So easy to miss, and that might be the motto of the movie. Genuine acting from the lead. Lynchian transitions. Inspiring, but good inspiring. My heart is whole again. And I think it always was. In the meantime, we look at the same thing again and again… and some people see beauty.

  Moondog is a bit of a shitty person. There are moments when we expect some normal, sensible reaction from Moondog, and Moondog is just a jerk. But we love him still just the same.   Who was the intended audience? Maybe it was plants. I think nearly two hours of video recording of plants would be more exciting and probably more meaningful. 

  I hope the makers of this film are banned from making movies longer than 10 minutes. I can’t even pretend that the stupid music was good. This is like reading Hemingway, and I mean that in the worst possible way about reading Hemingway.

  There exists a much better movie that maybe the scriptwriters…
