  Sometimes I love being raised UU bc all the scary stuff he’s saying about religion are the discussions I was having with my peers in Sunday school when I was like 12

  Anyway the ending of this movie sucks. Chung-hoon Chung has been the best part of movie he’s shot since It and by such a large margin it’s not even funny.

  I should have left at intermission.

  First half of this movie rules! It was inventive and poetic and had lots of life! Characters had things to do, things to say. The second half lost its footing and somehow just kept stumbling through to the finish line. I’m on board for a cradle to grave story about immigration and the American dream! And I’m all about making it a sweeping epic and an intimate portrait at once! Give me 3.5 hours…
