okay i had to watch this too as a reference after reading the book and ugh jeeez this film is a total joke compared to the book.
kinda glad that i got to fall in love with the films and their magical world as a kid. i’d rather ruin the films for me now- when i’ve seen them so many times already and got what i wanted out of them
and yeah even tho the story is all twisted up…
i was so freaking excited to see this on tv cause this was a true classic of my childhood but oh dear it just got worse and worse and worse. all im gonna say is MALE GAZE. ew
(ok i still wanna say i love these early 2000s films like this and it describes that times values and attitude and im not that mad about it, it is entertaining but watching it now made me puke a little bit)
