Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022

It has a fine enough plot. It is far too long. The first third did not feel like it had many good scenes or plot, but the middle third was great!!! Then the last third was not good. The end battle was not good. They needed to fight a water-based enemy so their thought was “hmmm. How about a boat?” Really the best thing about the ending was the respectful silence Shuri had. That was a beautiful scene. Iron heart didn’t really do much. But the MUSIC! Man the MUSIC was on point in this film. That was great!

Tom Holland had a great performance here. The plot was pretty good, and I liked the rationale for the villain. One of my only complaints is Liz was a bit two dimensional and only was there for the purpose of leading Peter to Vulture. Other than a few nit picks with characters, it was a great film. I would watch again and I have several times!

Pacific Rim 2013
Fantastic movie. Character development was better than I expected for a movie with robots and aliens. Every role was very well cast. The plot was great, and there was even unexpected (but not unappreciated) humor that genuinely got several laughs from me. Stunning visual effects and fight scenes. If you don’t like epic fight scenes then sadly this isn’t for you as there are many. I have very few if any critiques for this movie. Very solid. Well done.

Overall I really enjoyed it. I had a few nitpicks though. It seemed that the writers didn’t know what to really do with Jennifer Lawrence’s character Mystique. She starts off hinting that she likes Charles and then Hank and then Erik. Other than a few uses, she was just there. They did Darwin so dirty. He most definitely would have lived. Hank’s Beast costume was a bit strange. The actor did pretty well with it though. Other than a few details feeling a bit contrived, I have no real complaints. Pretty solid movie, and Magneto was introduced beautifully.
