Why is every original song like 70% medium close-ups with characters looking past the camera. It was super distracting.
Pretty decent tho, very average with some newer stuff succeeding and some failing. Very highs and lows-y movie for me, but the highs are some of the very best live-action Disney movies have EVER gotten imo. Will absolutely be dog pilled because of drama I don’t care to learn, but I’ll respect this movie for at least having some god damn color.
Rewatched this on a pure whim - now that I know pop culture I wanted to know how it aged. And with how nostalgia bait, franchising, and the 80s still being pretty present it holds up well as a celebration of 80s consumerism story-wise.
Doesn’t help with the rest of this movies issues though. The constant references are a bit annoying, none of the humor landed, the “ugly” burn mark subplot is stupid, and characters aren’t particularly interesting. My main…
I don't particular get the humor but Ignatz is cute, they should make more cartoon mice, maybe make one a dozen years later it'll be a hit
