If Bill Murray or his character were:
    1) likable in the slightest
    2) not unattractive
    3) not a total creep
This movie would have worked for me. Everyone else is fantastic and there are some good laughs! I also really like the concept. But damn, if the central character doesn’t work then I don’t think this movie can be all that successful. Narcissist sexual predator vibes

    The performances.
Lily Gladstone maintaining a sense of dignity and wit while also selling an honest love for Leo’s pathetic character is instantly hall-of-fame worthy.
Leo’s performance as a spineless man who simultaneously loves his wife and assists in the murder of her family is somehow believable. A career best.

I just... don’t think I could hate a movie more? I wish it was horribly made, but I don’t think it was. I just don’t like anything about it at all, which makes it worse than if it were just shitty. I was confused the whole time, yet my brain was on the brink of getting it? But I didn’t even care enough to get it? If making me feel shitty was the whole goal, I guess it was successful? (I mean there is also far more actual shit in this movie than I bargained for.) I almost want to watch Cats (2019) now.
