It says that I watched this film during the pandemic (I logged it back then) and yet I do not remember a SINGLE THING about it, nor do I remember watching it at all. So I'm logging this as a proper first watch.
The story is paced poorly and the humor is a mixed bag at best but hot damn the action rips and the story in and of itself is interesting. Excited to see the sequel!

Watched this originally out of obligation thinking it was going to get nominated for Best International Feature (it wasn’t lol) but am pleasantly surprised to report it’s quite great!! I think the reason this works where so many either music biopics fail is because it is so much more about Ireland and its national identity than about a rap trio. All of the music is channeled into a much greater story and a raw “fuck you” energy. Really dug this.
