Same old, same old unfortunately. Started off fairly strong but the narrative and story felt very hollow, definitely dragged towards the end. Still very impressive how Bobby still putting shifts in his 80s, the man can't be stopped. There was something about Cosmo Jarvis's character I found hilarious, his constant distressed face was so funny to me.

At first I thought it was one of those films that I could have done with a 4.25 rating, but it deserves more just for pacing alone, absolutely flew by. Loved the first half and the hopefulness and optimism of it all, but did not expect the tone to become so heavy in the second half, but still really enjoyed it. Brody is brilliant but think everyone gives a perfect performance.

Was a bit sceptical about this due to age and the length (anything 2hrs 45mins+ is a struggle) but was blown away by the realism throughout. Highly recommend if you can find the time lol

The egg man, my gothic king, has made vampires scary again! Amazing performances, cinematography and score, so unnerving from start to finish. You can tell Eggers has a love for the folklore and myth around the story and vampires, which elevates it to the next level, definitely my favourite film of his. 9am viewing for this, have I taken things too far?
