This film was supposed to be set in the 1980s but Shailene was dressed like she was a 2017 VSCO girl the whole time.
The chemistry between her and her love interest was not believable for me. Like miss girl was always being so negative towards him.
When she woke up and found her man shortly after in the ocean, I knew something was up and I was right.
Would watch again! I ended up really liking it and I love that it was based on a true story.
And she was only 24 🥺.

Glen Powell you are fine as fuck. Daisy Edgar Jones (Kate), do you have a country accent or not? By the end of the movie it was gone. Consistency is important queen. The beginning scene reeled me in and a couple of scenes left and right did so also but for the majority of the movie I was a little bit… bored? When Javi said that he lost all his friends for Kate’s little science project, he ATE her down. Like he’s right ! I get it’s important but everyday putting yourself in danger, it’s a tornado mama.
