"Nagising din naman ako... na hindi na kita mahal. Kaya lang ang masakit, hindi lang tayo nagkasabay"

Films like this cut straight to my heart with a deep, raw impact. No melodramatic music manipulating your feelings and fueling your emotions; just honest dialogue spoken with such casualness and purpose. No heavy cinematographic elements, just lights and settings that speak to the audiences even without narration. The simplicity of it all is both the most beautiful and most painful thing about it. It just leaves you with so many questions in life to ponder on and no pillars to hold on to.

We pretend, we reinvent, and we pretend to reinvent. That's why, in the end, it all comes full circle: we're all enslaved by capitalism. We cater everything to serve the interests of a capitalist society. This film, as much as it mocks the film industry, also mocks itself. It's an endless loop—we all fall in the same septic hole even if we don't intend to.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT HAMISH LINKLATER.

HOW HAMISH LINKLATER COULD SWEEP THE AWARD SHOWS. The way he delivers his monologues? He's astounding. The perfect mix of creepy, frightening, unhinged, and innocent, all at the same time. Give this man the recognition he deserves.
